It isn't saying that you will never be better than someone else, but it is saying that there is no need to compare yourself to others. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses and we will never be exactly the same as anyone else. The ego wants us to compare ourselves to others and only then do we feel we are inferior or superior, but we don't need to do that.
